Kelly Darrow, LCSW

Kelly Darrow is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s degree from New York University and over 30 years of experience in community behavioral health. Her diverse professional background includes work in home and community settings, OMH-licensed clinics, and residential programs, as well as social service roles in adult homes and nursing facilities. She has extensive experience providing individual, family, and group therapy across all age groups, with expertise in case management, educational advocacy, and family court-related matters.

Kelly has received specialized training in therapeutic drumming, motivational interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, and financial social work. She is an American Lung Association Certified Freedom From Smoking® group facilitator, a certified postpartum doula, and a trainer in various topics. She has also managed a youth mentoring program and held leadership roles in both day and sleep-away camps for children. In her current role, Kelly supervises LMSW social workers working toward LCSW licensure.

Kelly has extensive experience supporting individuals with diverse behavioral health diagnoses and clinical needs. She adopts a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, tailoring treatment plans to align with each client’s personal goals. Her therapeutic methods incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Kelly emphasizes the value of a strong therapeutic relationship, offering both traditional psychotherapy and creative interventions to create a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
